What is Forest Bathing?

Forest Bathing is the practice of immersing yourself in nature.

Disconnect from the busyness of life and get back to the basics of what makes us healthy, strong, and happy.

By slowing down and opening our senses, we experience nature in a whole new way. Forest Bathing is open to all ages, religions, cultures and backgrounds.

Our Forest Bathing event is based on the Japanese healing method of Shinrin-yoku and is designed to help you reconnect with nature, while receiving a wealth of benefits:

 ★ Improved physical and mental health ★ Relief from stress and anxiety ★ Improved ability to focus, concentrate and problem solve ★ Improved creativity★ Reduced blood pressure

★ Increased energy level ★ Decreased muscle tension

★ Deepened sense of joy and vitality

What to expect?

You will be given prompts and directions by the facilitator, Christy Evers. You will spend time alone, as well as sharing with others. This event also includes mindful enjoyment of refreshments.

What do you need to participate?

Willingness to connect with nature, disconnect from electronics for a couple of hours, and have a positive attitude towards connecting with nature.

Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather.

A full water bottle per person.

Sunscreen/rain gear, as needed.

A yoga mat or something to sit on (optional).

Note:  This not a hike, it is a gentle, mindful walk in nature.
